2016 AIM Weekend Walleye Series - TRS Pros Take 5th Place Finish
Starting off the 2016 AIM Walleye Tournament Season with a bang, TRS Pros James Keller and Larry Eaton were able to place 5th out of 83 teams in the circuit's first event. The TRS team caught their five fish limit weighing in at 38.46 pounds. All fish were released alive.
After two days of hard pre-fishing, James and Larry were able to dial in their efforts to the tune of 24 fish measuring 24" or greater! The Green Bay weather conditions were less than ideal producing temperatures right around 28 degrees, high winds, strong river currents and even some ice formation. Despite less than ideal conditions, a solid game plan of trolling into the strong current of the Fox River was able to help them achieve the right speed keeping their baits in the strike zone. Once speed and direction were established dredges, pipe lines, buoys, rocky shorelines and bridge pilings produced the largest fish of the day.
Tugging behind the TRS pro's offshore planer boards were a variety of Berkley Flicker Shads and Rattlin' Wasp cranks to help reel in a Top 5 finish. By far, the two top producers were the Berkley Flicker Shad Chartreuse Pearl, size 7 and 9, and the Rattlin' Wasp Gold Digger size 4 and 5.
